This is one I keep circling back to and it's because of the bit where it mentions that he was trying to run away from the wedding but her magic prevented him.
It's safe to assume that same magic kept him devoted in his new marriage whether he liked it or not and why he ended up with a child and another on the way. I like to think he is still trying to think of a way out knowing that none will ever be available. He is well and truly trapped forever as her. And that gives me the giddys!
