Wait, I'm a bit confused. If they don't remember their former lifes, did they really swap bodies ? Because if it is like that and they act and think like the person in the body they belong to, it's like the swap never happened.
For them it really feels like the swap never happened after they got their memories and personalities replaced but they are fully aware such event took place. Not only they remember participating in the experiment but John and the tech staff can confirm it. I know it might get confusing but yes, the swap really took place. If it didn't this caption wouldn't be here on this blog ;)
