Kyle now Kayla never knew about the woman only witch clause and when he asked his mom she made sure he really wanted it and then gave him the gender switch and with it she opened Kayla to her magic. Over the next couple of years mom would teach Kayla how to use her magic
This was a wonderful story with a wonderful plot line. It also had a pleasant ending for everyone. Michael and Kyle were both two male best friends for life. Neither one had done well with girls and were members of the lonely hearts club. Kyle became Kayla so Michael wouldn't be stag. It became more than a date. It became destiny as it seems Kayla is permanent presence. Her mother might've been psychic. She figured the beginning and ending. She loves her son Kyle the chrysalis, albeit she most likely wanted Kayla, the butterfly to become permanent presence. Kayla's mother may have needed a magical heir to be female to be able to be a complete witch possibly anyway.
